Hey people i recentaly cut my self pretty bad with my bali and was wondering whats the worst youve cut your self?

I don't think I have ever had a really bad injury from a balisong. I can't think of any outstanding cuts that were balisong inflicted. The worst cut I ever got though was when I caught a NIB CS khukuri blade first.

I've never had severe injuries. Only small cuts on the fingers... almost nothing.
But recently, my BM42 destroyed one of my suit pant

it totally pierced it and my pant has a 1 inch hole on the thigh...

I cut myself at a LARGE balisong once, it must be close to 7-9 years ago, still have a desentized area around the fat scar.
Also had gripping problems for 6 months after it happend. Not good.
Besides from that a few stabs to different parts on my palms wich also led to problems with gripping, but they have healed up with no ill effects.

Nothing quite that bad but I did stab myself about two weeks ago with my new 42as and it went home deep (about a 1/4" deep.) After stabbing myself (and not realizing it) I continued to push the blade along my lap when I heard the tearing of my sweats and realized I was cutting myself. All in all I didn't feel a thing and the cut only ended up about an inch long or so and aobut a 1/4" wide and deep. Still hasn't healed though.

For startersI acquired the usual cuts on my hands and fingers when I was learning some tricks. The worst one was when a scumbag tried to stick me with a Bear bali. He blade went through my left palm. No bones were hit. He was quickly dealt with after that.

BA, I feel sorry to hear your injury from a hostile one. Hope you're okay now. I can't help being more impressed you noticed the maker of the bali.

One of my worst is on my right foot. While practicing a kata of karate with my pal with balisong techniques, I suddenly wanted to try an aerial technique. The bali fell straight toward my right foot. It was PC custom, sharpened five minutes before. One second later when I felt a shock on my foot, blood spread in a foot in diameter. 10 years later now, it still aches when raining.

Second of worst, I was trying to develop my cross draw technique, single flip from thubm side to pinky side. I was stupidly too confident of my cross draw and moved on next. Holding wrong side, I changed the direction of revolution. The handle didn't stop at the open position, badly bounced back to pinch my right middle finger at the joint, and the blade also. For about a week my finger didn't bend. A few later now, it still aches when gripping at full power.

My heartiful advice is, if you're trying your limit, don't be too ambitious. Concentrate on ONE additional thing, no more at one time!

Gigante and WrongFriend,

The scumbag did leave his bali in my palm. I guess he was trying to figure out why his left leg couldn't support is body's weight and where all the blood was coming from.

I have heard a good deal on Bear bali, but this was my first time to see one up close!
