BA, I feel sorry to hear your injury from a hostile one. Hope you're okay now. I can't help being more impressed you noticed the maker of the bali.
One of my worst is on my right foot. While practicing a kata of karate with my pal with balisong techniques, I suddenly wanted to try an aerial technique. The bali fell straight toward my right foot. It was PC custom, sharpened five minutes before. One second later when I felt a shock on my foot, blood spread in a foot in diameter. 10 years later now, it still aches when raining.
Second of worst, I was trying to develop my cross draw technique, single flip from thubm side to pinky side. I was stupidly too confident of my cross draw and moved on next. Holding wrong side, I changed the direction of revolution. The handle didn't stop at the open position, badly bounced back to pinch my right middle finger at the joint, and the blade also. For about a week my finger didn't bend. A few later now, it still aches when gripping at full power.
My heartiful advice is, if you're trying your limit, don't be too ambitious. Concentrate on ONE additional thing, no more at one time!
