Balisong 3D model ?

I would imagine Mr. Ralph would have some, you might check his website.

If you don't come up with anything, give me a hollar via email or on here, and I will try to do one for ya, just take some time depending on how accurate you would like it to be as I will have to do it in my spare time.

I've been working on one for quite a while now. But, like Tique, I only get to work on it during my spare time, which I haven't had much of lately. I've been working on it in a couple different 3D modelers: Mechanical Desktop 5.0 (super accurate) & 3D Studio MAX 3.1 (not so accurate). I haven't gotten very much done on either one, but I am willing to share, if anyone's interested.

Well, if you want more than what Mr. Ralph has put up, it can be done. I have just downloaded a new program that should allow more versitility than my current one, but it is only a trial and I'm limited in that aspect.

I currently use SolidEdge, and it is quite accurate in all aspects, I believe has been in use at Redstone Arsenal here for a while. Give me an idea of what you are looking for and I can tell you if I can do it or not. I am limited in my color schemes on this one to only a handful of solid colors and some transparent ones, that is my main reason for looking for other programs.

Exactly what are you looking for? Something you can manipulate around and look at? Just some .jpg files of different angles? Exploded views? 3 View drawings included? Dimensions? There are quite a few variables to play with. Also what balisong were you wanting the model of?

By super accurate, do you want dimensions down to .001" or just one that is drawn and looks proportionally correct?

I'm basically looking for a BM42 or equivalent, 3DS model. I'm a lousy modeler, I can just create things that are round, cylinder, or donut-shaped. And... I can also create teapots...

But if I had a nice model I could play around with it, try different textures etc !

I have yet to find Mr Darren's site, will do so now...

That should take you to Darrel Ralph's page with the balisongs on it.

The 42 would take a bit to draw up, but they pretty much all would. The only programs I have will only let me do a 3D model that can be manipulated within the program, and unless you also happen to have a copy, or a modeling program that accepts the format, all I can send are pics of it.

EDIT Guess these are all pics of his prototype now. No more computer generated ones there that I saw.
