Balisong basics

I want to get into the art of butterfly knives...

I know Benchmade is top when it comes to that but I do not want to spend $100+ for one of these knives, nor do I want to spend $5-10 on a dirt cheap malaysian steel balisong at the army surplus store. I can't seem to find a happy medium?

$30-50 would be excellent...brand recommendations? Links? Tips on balisongs in general?

Unfortunately, there isn't a good balisong in the $30-50 range right now.

Right now, I'd suggest spluging a bit more on a BM42. If you shop around, you can usually find 'em for under $100.
