balisong pocket clip

If you clipped a latchless you would have to do both handles or something. Otherwise the second handle would have nothing to keep it shut. I would like to get a clip on my BM. Short shirts make it hard to conceale my sheath.

I've always wonder why no one made a pocket clip sheath for bali's, like those from William&Henry or Elishewitz's Kangaroo sheath. It would work great for latchless.

I'm against putting a clip on a latchless as it'll disturb the perfectly balanced design by the addition of a piece of metal.

For the owner of the Dobruski with the pocket clip, one question: Does the clip get in the way of manipulation? I think the added bulk of the clip would make manipulation with that handle a little awkward because the handle would not spin as smoothly.

The clip doesn't interfere with manipulation, but I don't use the latch handle much. IMHO the usefulness of the clip far outweighs any manipulation problems!

I had hope for a clearer answer from someone that would used both handles in manipulation. Since you don't manipulate the handle with the clip, to you the clip is advantageous. That's extremely valid. I wonder how the clip would affect someone that manipulates both handles. I envision the clip biting into the palm during rotation, and thus hampering some manipualtions. I could be wrong.

In this case Waktasz could use the clip to help ID the "safe handle", as as Kyui Su Kim mentioned, unless he finds a way to store the knife closed, the knife will open in his pocket, as Waktasz is after a latchless design.

You just gotta try a bali with a clip...it really becomes part of one :).

I've never had this open in pocket, but it might not be the one to choose for a high degree of manipulation!

I will. You've got my curiosity peaked.

That one has it as a tip down carry, so gravity will help keep the handles together. On the Dubroski, it's tip up carry, and unless the handles are held together (with the lath in your case) in a latchless design, gravity will definitly open the unclipped handle. We're still looking.

I've seen the monster clip bali by perrin for sale, but how did you get the smaller one i saw in an earlier post? the Perrin Clip and curved blade looks like it'd be a very interesting bali.:)

I was thinking that I would get a clip on the bite handle and carry it in my right pants pocket with the safe handle against the right side of the pocket. Hope you can see what I mean. It think if the clip was somewhat tight, the bali wouldn't slide around in the pocket and would hold itself closed against the side of my pants.

Also, since the knife would have about a quarter to a half of an inch sticking out of my pants, in won't unfold in the pocket, as the hem(the edge of the pocket, you know what I mean) would be right up against the knife.

I guess that would work. But, have you seen the sheath in question?
