Balisong Resources/Info?

Hi folks,
My girlfriend has expressed an interest in the Balisong: Using it, manipluating it, the history of it, etc...basically, she wants to all about the balisong and then some. Unlikely to be a carry option, since we live in Massachussets, but she's still real interested.
Anyway...it's slowly approaching a time of year where presents should be given out, and I'm thinking of getting her something(s) balisong related. If anyone can reccomend books, videos, training tools, actual blades, instructors who happen to live close to me, programs to download directly into her consciousness, or whatever, post 'em here (or email me: blacksteel@aol.com).

You should hop over to the balisong section on this forum. Yep-they're are popular enough to rate their own place and those that like them usually stay that way. The level of knowledge the moderators and members have on that forum is astounding and you'll get all your questions answered.
Incidentally my spouse has been a bali owner and user for 20 years. Some women take to them and get really proficent.

yes I agree with you.. reading thru other forums.. it seems that you either love it or hate it.. there are crossovers ofcoruse.. like me.. bali nut who goes crazy over striders and emersons

the 'perceived' image of balis is really double edged so to speak. fascinating to examine.
