Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me find/make the one on the left. It does have a registered trademark so you would need to contact benchmade to reproduce it.

James, I'd say go direct to Benchmade if you want one exactly like that. If you want something different but superior quality, I'd suggest Gary Graley. He probably makes the best fitted balisong sheaths I've seen. Gary frequents this forum and USN and Custom Knives and Guns Forum. Google is your friend.

The picture you posted is one I took of sheaths in my collection. Benchmade does not make them and in my opinion would not be able to help you. I second Gary Graley (a.k.a. G2) as one of the best makers of balisong sheaths in that style. Dwayne Puckett is also very good. Either one of them should be able to make you a sheath in that style, approximating that design. Gary already uses a butterfly on some of his (see pic below). Dwayne sheath is at bottom, Gary sheath is on the left with butterfly (the sheath with the knife in it):

The sheath itself isnt trade marked, its the bali-song butterfly logo that is.

I've handled a few of those older leather sheaths are they arent bad at all, the design is solid and the leather is good. I'm not sure who made them though. I'd love to have the molds those were made from. :)

Thats quite a collection Balislinger!! Those old sheaths are becoming quite the collectable.
