  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I wanted to see what kind of techniques everyone is into here. What do you use?

- Twirls
- Openings and Closings
- Sheath Drawing
- Striking
- Blocking

Or anything else I didn't list.

I try to practice a variety of everything. I really enjoy perfecting a basic technique.

I try to do a variety of openings and closings, but I find myself mainly doing twirls. Lately, I've been going back to the basics to get them down perfect.

I practice hard and often at basic opens and closes but I don't even really want to learn the fancy stuff. Aerials have little attraction to me. I guess I'm more of a balisong-user than a balisong-artist.

for me its mainly twirls and aerials. my god, do i hate those underhand aerials. they poke me almost every time.
that and roll-overs. i've been practicing my thumb roll-overs a lot (and the floor isnt too happy about it

Manipulating a set of balis' is very relaxing to me after a tough day in the rat race. I find myself transing through finger rolls and aerials , just letting it role out of me.

I PRACTICE basics religiously. Kinda like a black belt in the TKD system...He has several skilled implements in his bag but he always practices that reverse punch.
