Why not share a very memorable moment for you concerning balisongs?

Mine is when i was trying to learn how to twirl with my left hand and dropped it, i was sitting on the edge of my bed, nothing strange 'bout dropping it, it happend quite a lot back then.

But this time instead of the usual clatter it went, POW! i quckly changed my shorts and checked out what happned.... i dropped the knife on the cable to my wakeup clock! nearly cut the cord in half...when i examined the blade there was two copper filled grooves parallel on the edge

Definitely something i'll never forget!

So, let me hear yours!

Jonas,

I want to know how you got the scar on your back! That sounds like it might be a good story.

Well, how about this:

I was standing at the Bladeshow in Atlanta working balisongs with Clay and Susan and a couple of other people. A crowd was forming. I noticed one fellow out of the corner of my eye walk right up. So, I held out a balisong to him and said something like "It's a 'balisong.' Have you ever seen one before?" He grabbed it, went into an elaborate manipulation and it was at that moment that I recognized Fred Perrin.

I spent the rest of the show trying to get the taste of shoe polish out of my mouth.

That's a moment that I know I'll never be allowed to forget.

LOL............

Oh Chuck, dude.............. I'm glad you posted that story first, because I would have felt bad if I was the one that had to do it .

Guys, ya' should have seen it from my view.

>>> Beginning of flash back <<<<<<<<

Chuck: Doing a little freestyle routine and obviously, lost in thought.

SniperBoy: Standing next to him, watching intently (back to the aisle)

Me: Facing the aisle. Gaze shifting back and forth from Chuck, to the approaching Fred Perrin. I'm thinking, "Cool, wait until Chuck and Snipe see him"

Fred Perrin: Walks up right in front of Chuck (who is still deep in thought apparently) and doesn't say a word.

Chuck: Sensing someone in front of him says (and in his best "Mr. Rogers" tone of voice) "This is a Balisong, Have you ever seen one?"

(insert sound of a needle scraping across a record)

(insert sound of a Train wreck)

Me: Laughing Hysterically, (just as SniperBoy realizes who it is) "Thats Fred Perrin!" AaaaaaaaaHahahahahahahaha........... "Have you ever seen one, he says"

BwaaaaaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa............

That ONE moment was well worth the price of the Plane fare, the Hotel AND the rent-a-car.
