Balisongs in California? What about other knives?

Reading about the laws on wikipedia.org and some other sites, I guess best way to put it, they have confused me. In California is it completely illegal to own, buy, sell, import, or carry a balisong or butterfly knife, or is it legal to own but not carry a butterfly knife? A bit of clarification would be nice.
On another note, what is legal in California? Are all gravity knives/blades illegal?
What about a butterfly knife keychain? Like This: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31JGZG9TM6L._SL500_AA280_.jpg

I can tell you for a fact that if you carry a butterfly knife in California and get caught, you will be arrested. It's a misdemeanor, sure, but the fine is a killer.

balisongs fall under the switchblade defiinition ((653(k) pc)). if the blade is under 2" it is legal to own or carry.

this section generally refers to carry of switchblades, but does not address simple ownership.

gravity knives also are prohibited per 653(k) pc.

and based on the scale of the knife, relative to the key ring, i would think the blade is under 2", therefore perfectly legal. the specs would help.

would the cold steel triple action fall under gravity knife or "enclosed folder"

I had the double edge 8 years ago and got "pulled over" walking home one night when "there was a burglar matching my description" in the area. The cops gave it back to me after telling me that "collectors shouldn't be carrying" and let me go. Do yourself a favor and forget about that peice of junk. Mine fell apart after a month of EDC.
