If you're willing to watch the for sale forums and auctions, you can occationally find some very nice balisongs for $50.
The new Benchmade 42 is quite a good balisong and is streeting at about $125. Availability is improving every day.
You might have noticed in one of the other threads that OneStopKnifeShop is having a sale on their Dragon Forge balisongs for well under $20. These knives are an excellent value.
