Balisongs?

Ive never owned a balisong before, so I have no idea what exactly im looking for....any suggestions? Looking for a production somewhere around (preferably under) $100. I looked at the spyderfly, but again, I have no idea what to look for in a bali.
 
Buy the Benchmade 42 spring latch. Try to find one for about $100-$110. I think there's one in the for sale forum right now. It's the standard. The Spyderfly's design is too weird to use properly.
 
I have had a 41MC and Spyderfly. While the Benchmade was lightyears ahead of the Spyderfly in fit and finish, I preferred the feel (and price) of the Spyderfly.

I think the hottest thing in the production bali world right now is the Morpho 32. I'm just dying to buy one, and almost get the nerve daily, but, just can't bring myself to buy another knife I'll love and be unable to carry...
 
Take a look at STU 711 .com as he has some cheapos and some Benchmades...I would try a cheap model first...check your local laws also...
 
I wont really be carrying it out in public. one, I have other knives for that and two, im a noob with the design and deploying it would be akward. Will buying one be a problem though?
 
Azrael31...not sure where you live or your local laws.....most sellers will sell these anywhere since there is no federal regualtion on them. There are a few states that ban them for sale....
