Ball bearing bowie

When I first checked the thread, no pic! :( I was wondering about the "epiphany". LOL

That's a nice knife, Bruce. How did you treat the butt?

That's either a really big ball bearing or a really small knife. It looks great. Are the holes in the guard for lashing to a stick to make a spear?
 
Keith it is a big bearing, the blade is just under 8 inches long. The holes can be used for lashing to a stick and running it though an attacking cougar or Grizzly.
 
Niiiiiiiiice I hope youve got a power hammer. That is a lot of work without one.
 
That is one really sweet knife!
I like knives that are actually "FORGED"!
It's obvious you didn't just bang a point onto a flat bar of steel and say you "forged" a knife.!

Nope it is definately forged to shape. I do have a hydraulic press instead of a huge right arm and worn out anvil.

Great knife bruce. Love my new press for forging. Makes an old man young and lazy again.
