Well, here it is. The blade I forged out of a 1" ball bearing. The bolster is bronze, the handle is ebony. There's no pin on it because I haven't done final assembly on it yet.
I anxious to hear any opinions.

Very impressive.

I really like the shape of the blade. It looks light and agile. Good tip for delicate work, enough belly for slicing.

The handle looks like it belongs on a larger blade. But if it feels right it's the right size.
I wish I could make something half as good!

I'm glad you guys like the blade shape, I'm particularly proud of it. The handle is a bit big, but it feels good. I think I'm probably going to take another fingers worth of wood off of it, it doesn't need to take up my whole hand, but I wanted to be careful and slow with my wood removal. I'm really not used to working with wood. In fact, this is the first blade that I've done an all-wood handle on, as well as the first time I've used this steel, and the first time I've mintmarked a blade. I'm about to sharpen it right now. Thanks for the input, guys!

OZ,
Take a little bit off at a time, put the knife down for a while. Work slow and you'll get it there. post another pic when it's finished.

I took quite a bit more off of the handle and updated the pic. I think it looks and feels a lot better. This was a direct result of the great feedback I've been getting from the forums. Thanks again everyone.

OZ,
now it's looking more balanced and I'm sure you can feel a big difference too! A small blade doesn't need a hand filling handle because it's not designed for heavy prying or chopping. Light, quick, and controled is the feeling you should get with this blade.

Looking great!!
