Ball bearing pivot?

Ball bearing pivot or IKBS goes against the design philosophy of Emerson Knives IMO as it complicates tinkering with the knife in the field.

Setting a knife up for IKBS or bearings that wasn't originally intended to is extremely complicated and very unlikely to be done correctly. A lot of very precise milling would be needed or you would screw up the tolerances pretty bad. I'm gonna go ahead and put this in the "pipe dream" category.

IMO, Emerson's are plenty smooth and the wave will always be faster than bearings, so it seems a bit unnecessary. But don't get me wrong, bearings make everything better (when the knife is designed for them).

With enough money and the right skills, of course it can be done although it may be cheaper and easier to get a knife with bearings already on it.
If you decide to add bearings, post pics and let us know how it turned out.
