Ball Chain for Neckers

Please advise on your favorite ball chains. Stainless, Ti, powder coated whatever. Length you like, type of clasps etc. Links would be nice.

Never use a ball chain. I always switch over to a para cord. Much more adjustable and comfortable.

I just use stainless ball chain from McMasterCarr. Ace Hardware usually carries it too.

I run a shorter section of the paracord outer sheath over the ball chain. It covers up the chain but still let's it break if snagged.

You may want to re-think paracord. What if you slip and fall and a tree branch decides to grab your paracord. HUNG!!!

I always have a spot on my para cord where I've cut and then "welded" it back together. If you do it carefully enough, it is secure, but it breaks free at about the same tension a ball chain would. And if you experiment a little, you can adjust the tension strength from very little to quite strong. But in my experience I could never get it back strong enough to be dangerous.

Paracord around the neck is a bad idea. It will strangle you if caught or a bad guy can strangle you with it. I prefer a simple ball chain as it will break under force. You can get larger ball chain, too.
