With apologies to Emeril Lagasse. I hear he's going to be stalked next...

I updated my user line-up, and while there is still that gaping void between the SJTAC-LE and the MOASH (a hole that only a SH1-A and a SFNO can fill ... you see it, don't you?), I went big on the top end and finally pulled in an AK. Monster blade! :D

On the downside, now there's another gaping void between the FBM-LE and the AK-47--one that only a Ruck can fill. :(

Nice Pants!!

All the leather is Dwayne Puckett's work. Couple of cheaper DogFather sheaths in there, with an old-school kydex drop-leg on the straight handle.

Tony G will be along shortly to tease me about my other leather pants.

Awesome line up Guyon!!!

CONGRATS on the AK... can't wait to see the pants you get for that baby.

That's a sweet user collection, a Busse for every occasion !! How about a side-by-side photo, users vs non-users, sitting on top of their respective pants ?

This'll be a brush knife, so I think I'm going kydex. I like the Buy Brown olive drab sheaths pictured here. Just wanted to make sure I liked the AK first before ordering one.

Guyon...nice group of users.

a) How did you feel the Filet 'operated' as a filet knife? I remember someone else mentioning the 'stiffness' of the blade. Just wondering.

b) I'm going through the same inner turmoil over which knives to make 'users'. Wouldn't mind hearing your point of view on that. One area that's obvious is the need to fill all the size openings. (I'm heading that route too).

That'd be kind of cool, but it'll have to be a sunnier day... absolutely pouring rain here today.

Non-users tend to be in good old Busse cardboard. I can only think of one non-user with a sheath, and it may get pulled into the lineup at some point, because I really like the snake scales on it and because I think it would look really cool all stripped down some day. It's the middle knife pictured here. All the others have seen some chopping time at this point and are in the picture above.

Uhh, did you think that you wouldn't like it? Shame on you Guyon, shame on you!:D

By the way I think the foldover AK sheath is sweet. If I still had mine (I know, shame on me) I'd get one of those from D-Brown.

a) It is stiffer than most of my fillet knives, and I own a lot of them. I understand though that the 6" has a little more flex than the 4" and 5". It works very well as a boning knife on larger fish and on chicken. However, I have no complaints using it with smaller bass, trout, and bream.

b) Yeah, it's kind of tough to make that first cut or chop, but size range was sort of my standard from the start. "Okay, I have a 6" all around, but what if I would prefer a 5" utility blade? Or a 4" EDC? Hmmmm...." The danger here is being tempted to carry too many knives. :D

I try to limit it to two fixed blades on any outdoor venture. In my day pack, I tend to carry one smaller field knife in a fixed blade designation. Right now, it happens to be a BATAC that is not even in the picture above. It rides in a Spec-Ops sheath. Sometimes, it's the ABA-LE. Other times, its the AD, the Meaner, or before I gave my GW sheath to my wife, the GW. (I have a BADASS on order for the GW now.)

And then I carry a larger fixed blade chopper. I tend to rotate this one out, but I think that I have a Battle Rat in there currently. At the time I took the pictures below, it was a Becker BK-9. I also tend to poke a multi-tool of some sort in, and I always have a folder clipped to my pocket or a Buck 110 on my belt.

So no flames?

:D :D

How about racing stripes? :D

One of these days, I'm going to head over to the Caney Fork or to Arkansas and catch a real trout. Until then, I enjoy flaunting my tiny rainbows for Tony every chance I get. I think it makes him cringe. :p

Nice knives bro!

And very nice sheaths too -- especially the armoralleather...
