Been wanting to try a different handle material for awhile now. Wayne Goddard gave me some bamboo over the weekend and this is my first time of trying it. Took the outer layer off down to 600 grit and dyed it with leather dye. The blade was forged from an old leaf sring, its 6 3/4" with an overall lenght of 11 1/2". Its got my usual wrought iron fittings. Let me know what you think?

Nice work Ray:thumbup: The bamboo certainly gives a look of functionality to it. I like this one a lot.

Looks solid!

Did you have to fill the hollow of the bamboo with something?

I never would have thought about bamboo with wrought iron fittings, but it works!

Pretty Cool, and as someone who has a backyard full of bambo it's got me to thinking!:D
