Ban does it again!

A few months ago a got a chance to purchase a new black/ black G10 AD from the company store. After a bit of use, and once the coating starting to show some real wear I decided to strip it. Being inspired by some of the people here on the forums I decided to try my hand at some polishing. I quickly found out that I have no buisness attempting to mod a knife. I did a real hack job on it, uneven sanding, high and low spots, shiny and dull areas. I requested the services of a real professional here on the forums....none other than Ban. Ban did an awesome job on this. I requested that he replace the G10 scales with some beefy micarta handles and to add some mosaic pins instead of the hollow tube fasteners. Ban toped it off with his superb hand satin finish and scary sharp convex edge. Only until I tried my hand at polishing my shelf can I really appreciate the great amount of work and the high level of craftsmanship that Ban does. Well here are a few pics, enjoy.

Ya he does great work,Just watch out when he gets a couple of beers in him,and starts swinging the luke skywalker light saber AK around like he did in Eugene:eek:
 
His blades exceed air-bleeding sharp. The cut on the sub-molecular level. I love my "AD by Ban".
 
Ban is a great guy and does fantastic work, I haven't had a real chance to use the AD yet, but so far the handles really feel great, they really fill out the hand....but not to much. The swells are deep enough to give you a secure grip but not to deep where they feel akward. The edge is very sharp...I have already nicked myself with it once with it (thats when you know a knife is really your....lol).

I was only trying to strip Buttons of her blouse for you guys :D

I am not sure anyone got a pic of Buttons. Everyone was too drunk to think past the moment. If anyone, it would have been Kelly who would have a pic.

Either kelly didnt get a pic,Or Buttons was'nt as good as we thought after a couple beers,and Kelly is saving us the news:eek:
 
Tight work, Ban. Maybe someone should start a thread with pics of ALL Ban's work for forumites. I'd LOVE to have a place where I can get ideas for what he AND Randucci can do with specific knives. I have a GW I might like to get worked on.
