I just received my AD back from Ban yesterday and he really does some amazing work. Its a great slicer now, looks awesome, and feels perfect in the hand. Rainwalker made the pants with rattlesnake inlay and the workmanship is perfect. Thanks to both of you.

This is my first piece of INFI but definitely not the last.

:thumbup: Very nice! You're off to a great start if that is your first! :D

Beautiful!!! An absolutely gorgeous outfit.

What mods did Ban make to the knife? Looks like a modest clip point and flat gound?

Are those black snakeskin handle slabs?

Do you have a link for Ban?

Thanks,

Bill

That's a hell of a grab for your first piece. You are on the slippery slope now!! :D

It's a full satin job (he takes the scales off), clip point, flat grind and a reprofiled handle.

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to see it before he shipped it out.

The scales look like standard black canvas micarta, I know they are not snake skin, there is only one snake skin, no black version.

You can contact Ban through a private message, he posts here.

That turned out really cool looking... great sheath too!

NIce way to grab your first piece of INFI in style too.

I've got to say it again, that is just beautiful. I would wera that outfit to my daughter's wedding, an audience with the king, to the Pearly Gates, etc.

I have an AD "on order" and seeing yours, and that beautiful sheath makes me wonder if my spending will be over.

I have one of Rainwlakers Kydex sheaths ant it too is beautiful, just in a different way.

Your mileage may vary, but in my opinion the stock AD was a little too thick to make a decent slicer but after Ban's mods its cuts like a demon.

As for the sheath it is one of Rainwalker's x-loop models and I've got an IWB kydex one on order with him as well. Unfortunately the majority of my time is spent in the city so a discreet IWB sheath was needed in order to EDC it. Can't wait to get out fishing and camping again and put it through a real workout.

Me thinks we're cut from the same cloth. I have in mind an IWB as well as the Xloop for mine. I have an email in to Ban for an estimate to flat grind and satinize the blade. I don't have my AD yet but will get sheaths soo thereafter.

Congrats on your great knife and thanks for the pics. I cannot stop looking at them.

Thanks. I can only manage to grudgingly put it down while in the office and its back in a pocket as soon as I walk out the door at day's end. The swayed spine turned out to be quite functional btw since the groove lets the thumb rest comfortably on the spine while choking up for small work.

Now you can actually use the knife...it will cut instead of act like a maul when trying to cut an apple.

NICE

Now if it only had a tapered tang.

Hey bro, I'd love to see a pic of the IWB kydex when it arrives
