I'm looking at a Wilton 14" band saw, there are two models, one has varible speed and one is manualy ajusted. The manual ajustment model goes down to 50 FPM, the varible speed low speed is 116.

The hardest thing I will be cutting is .050 titanium. Will the 116 work OK for this?

The manual ajustment is harder to find and the varible speed is actualy a 100$ cheaper.

Suggestions?

Thanks

The 116 will work.I keep my HF metal cutting band saw sent on 120fpm and cut .050 and .100 Ti with no problem.I have also heard but never tried is to turn a blade over, teeth facing up and run it fast and friction cut .050 ti.Maybe some will chime in on this.

Thanks, I would realy prefere the varible speed, but the manual isn't suposed to be hard to change speeds. But aprently they've stopped making it and it's hard to find.
