Bandoleer sheath

One of my customers asked if I could make a design for him based on carrying the knife on a bandoleer that was two pieces and could be adjusted for length, with additional pouches, a belt, leg strap, and the sheath needed to be able to be removed and carried as a regular drop loop and an incorporated strop. I really liked the idea and this is how it all came out.

I really like the idea of having a large strop in the field. I thought this was going to be too heavy, but the 2 inch wide strap around the shoulder and the fact that it attaches to the belt with a keeper, really hold the weight well. It is very comfortable. I am going to have to make myself one.

Wow!!! That's sweet!!!

I've been thinking of something like this. Nice to have a pic of something similar.

Great work!

That's sweet! I am going to be needing something like that soon Chuck.;)

I think that is a great design! Looks comfortable, keeps the blade and essentials handy. I like it!

Chuck you look like Rambo,,, I might have dropped the third pouch that rides real close to your neck,, but. Man your leather is always outstanding. I am proud to wear my Chuddy Bear leather everyday,, without it I would feel very exposed,, lol. And my dad loves his too. Thanks for the pics Chuck,, j

I love my CB sheath as well. It keeps my Camp Blood warm on cold nights:)

I like this rig as well. Id like it a little more under my left arm since my belly is a litttle bigger than yours:D, but still, its awesome.

Especially, the built in strop.

.

Chuck ,,,,,,,,,,, with all the sheaths your making these days,,,,,where the hell did you find the time to design that sweet hunk of leather ???????? Real BLEEPIN Nice work :thumbup::thumbup:

Chuck, it looks awesome. Better than expected. Thank you for your hard work and excellent service. I can't wait to get it!

Man Chuck that is fantastic!!! One hell of a design, and 2nd the lots of hard work when into that rig.

Congrats Tobias...

CB, that rig looks like a well thought out piece of kit! Quality craftsmanship through out is evident to anyone who views it. Nice original piece of work!

I like how the pouches are stacked; but would prefer them in descending size. Maybe have the top one be half the size of the bottom one for mobility purposes. The knife's handle looks a bit close to the bottom of the last pouch, but it may be the photo as opposed to having it on in person. Fortunate is the person who ordered this rig!

Very impressive. For special, el primo, customers, in order to provide the "perfect fit" for wearing the rig all day , you may have to take individual measurements like we did at work for our "bullet proof (only up to .357) vests" e.g., torso length, neck & chest width, whether the abdomen is a slim six pack or a blubbery beer barrel(mine) and of course the length of the knife. Outstanding.

Thanks for the kind words. :D This one was fun to make.

To answer a few questions;
The pouches are not permanant, they can be removed or taken off and put on the back strap, or a belt.

The two piece design allows for some leeway in sizing or for winter carry outside a bigger coat, even for guys with bigger bellies than mine.:o

I only took some quick pics of it, but the strop is 14 inches long by 2 inches wide. I only put compound on the side that faces the back strap, it shouldnt come off on your clothes.

The knife sheath is only attached with a large x back on the back of the sheath and some leather lacing which can be untied to remove it to carry as a regular drop loop.

The pouches are 4.5" wide X 3" long X 1 inch deep, it fits an altoids can with some room to spare for other small items.

The bottom of the bandoleer is attached to the belt with a keeper type strap. It can be unsapped from the belt.
