I need to order some bimetal bandsaw blades and need some advice. I cut mostly 3/16" stock, with a few 1/4" and very rarely 1/8" stock. I need some recommendations on teeth per inch and type of tooth setup. Thanks.

TOM, I BELEIVE THE RULE OF THUMB IS, HAVE AT LEAST 3 TEETH INSIDE THE THICKNESS OF THE STEEL. SO FOR A 1/4", YOU WOULD NEED A 12 TOOTH OR BETTER, 14 TOOTH.

I was told that with hack saw blades you need 2 teeth on the material at all times to keep the saw from ketching the metal and sticking.

a metal cutting band saw is mearly a continues band saw

OK, someone must officiate or we will have confusion

and my spelling is getting realy bad so I'm off to bed:)
