Bandsaw For Handle Materials???

Don't know what to tell you "to buy" but I definitely know what to tell you "not to buy".
Don't buy a Ryobi table top bandsaw. They should change the name to Elgarbago!
If you don't have one, I'd suggest getting a Harbor Freight metal cutting bandsaw. They're just $169, the shipping is free. You can cut your handle materials with em just fine. I use mine for everything even though I haven a small wood cutting bandsaw, of course it's a Ryobi/Elgarbago. If you want to spend the money for a full size wood cutting bandsaw, that's a different story of course.

I buy Ellis bi metal 14 tooth per inch blades for my metal cutting bandsaw and use it for cutting everything.

I use my metal cutting bandsaw but I had a wood cutting blade made for it. Works faster and cleaner cut for wood and ivory. Your local saw shop can make one.

Mike,
Bring the stuff down to my house...I can cut it for you...this old 20 inch Powermatic does a fine job.... :D

Grasshoppa Bruce B. got it we need to get a roll of the thin bandsaw blade and we can weld it to are needs in the bandsaw welder that I have.

IG, check out Ebay, I see rolls of bandsaw blade on there dirt cheap all the time.
