I made a similar knife like this a while back using a blade forged from 1075 and local lumbermill bandsaw blades. This one is similar except I used mild steel along with the bandsaw blades and a 1095 core. I also came up with the idea (with the encouragement from the customer) of leaving the edge of the laminated billet exposed to show the teeth of the blades. It actually worked out great in terms of natural gimping texture and a cozy place for the thumb. The wood is old osage orange fence post.

Very cool! Love the "Raw" nature of leaving the saw teeth still showing and that handle is really warm looking! Great knife!

It looks awesome! I wasn't expecting it to look nearly that good when I saw 'bandsaw', but it was a pleasure surprise to say the least.

nice nice. Great design and she has an intriguing look.

Thanks folks! One of these days I'll make one of these for myself. Just feels compact and powerful in the hand. And I think I just saw another post with a similar knife and somebody called it a fighter/hunter. That's probably more accurate....

Up to no good as usual. :-)

Thanks Kevin... I need to start bringing my knives into the house when I post so I have dimensions! But I believe it's around 8.5" over all. It's one of those small big knives....
