This isn't rocket science but I thought some of you might not have figured it out yet. My bandsaw will only take about a 8" long piece of steel so when I need to cut longer pieces I have to cut them at an angle and you end up wasting steel. I just got done cutting some 1" wide ats34 into 12" sections and to avoid the waste I stood the steel on edge and just used a push stick for pressure. Took a little more time but it sure saved alot of steel!

Or you can buy a 15 amp- 14" Milwaukie chop saw from Harbor Freight, MSC, Travers, ect. for $165 on sale and cut steel all day long at whatever length you want... between the ease of cutting and the TIME saved, you'll pay for the chop saw very quickly! :)

Hacksaw has no motor, hence it does not qualify as a "manly" tool. arooroorr r:D
