OK, on my quest for a good bandsaw I made a discovery.
What had me puzzeled was: Why do so many knifemaker in the USA use bandsaws and why do so little European makers use them.
The answer is that the kind of bandsaw used, in a mound the keep them vertical and add a table are banned due to savety regulations.
Now I have two options left:
1) order one in the USA, but it will run on 110V, we have 220V, and ajusting will be very expensive
2) buy the machine in the picture and make a mount and table myself.
As I understand, most people that use bandsaws remodel them and make there own table.
Can you please post a picture of your bandsaw setup and tell me about what you did to it, and help me on the way?
This is the kind of machine avalible to me:
0,33 HP
60/90/150 feet per minute
