I just got a bunch of 3/16 440c from friend. He does not have any use for them so he just sold it to me at a bargain. I'm planning to get one of this cheap bandsaws to profile some blade blanks

Most of my blades are handforged tool steel. So this is my first time to work on stainless steel

Will this type of bandsaw do the job? and if it can...what kind of bandsaw blades do I need and at what speed rate

That bandsaw should do the job! Looks like a beefed up version of the one I have, for cutting hard materials like steel, use the slowest speed.

Yep that saw will work fine but you will need bi-metal blades. I like Lenox Die master 2 blades.

These saws are fine with good blades, like everyone has already said.
You can also use one of those 14-inch abrasive cut-off-saws. They're noisier, smellier, but faster and take up less space.

Yes that appears to be the same as mine (except blue).

As indicated the bi-metal blades would be the shot.

I have a saw doctor about 5km from my place and he had a new better blade made for me (bi metal and the teeth size for stainless)

I use the saw in the vertical position with the platform/shelf. The only problem is there is not enough weight on the side without the wheels.
