another big bang get down on the floor~

Mail man just came, and brought me something i've been excited for awhile to get. My first CRK. Lisa's pick for May, small sebenza 21, reverse silver contrast with a hematite cabochon and the new S35vn steel. Very excited and happy with my purchase. From the picture online i thought it was more of a contrast of silver and dark grey, but it seems the lighting was just a little dark. Still love it though.

I had ordered the Flourinated grease as well, but sadly it was not in the box. I called up right away, and heather picked up and got it squared away for me. I had completely forgotten that i ordered it cause i was playing with the knife, then when i read the invoice, something was missing :P

Something that brought a smile to my face was the hand written "thank you" on the invoice. Something so small, but taking the time to write that makes me feel happy purchasing from them. Jessie who was answering my many questions and took my order was also great talking to. My first experience and i'm super satisfied and happy with Chris Reeves. I can't wait to do more business with them(Umnum, and a custom i have in mind). Gonna meet up with another member who's gonna show me a large sebenza and a strider. So i hope you enjoy the pics, and i'll be enjoying my new baby.

Oh, now that's a GORGEOUS Sebenza. Congrats on your new knife! I think I'll just have to pick one up now! :D

Nice Sebenza ( minus the beads with the Nazi symbol )......Lisa really puts out some nice work. She is a true master with the milling machine !!!

thanks :) by the way nyef, not a nazi symbol, my people as well as many other countries have used this symbol far LONGER than the germans did. It's a good symbol :)

aznpos, that damascus you posted the other today, THAT is a gorgeous sebenza >.< which one are you looking to pick up next?

thats a nice looking reverse silver contrast graphic. like the hematite too.

haha nyef! The swastika is certainly not a Nazi symbol. The swastika is an important symbol in both Buddhism and Hinduism as well as many other Asian cultures. Hitler simply used the swastika for the flag of the Nazi party (the swastika was also used in ancient Germany as well). After World War II, deep running stigmatization of the swastika developed; especially so in western countries.

I love damascus Sebenzas and I've wanted one for the longest time. I've been debating which CRK knife to get next but I'm really liking this May Lisa's pick design. My grail knife is a unique graphic Sebenza with a hematite cabochon and a damascus blade.

The Basques of southern France and northern Spain also use the swastika, they call it the Basque cross. Oh and that is one very nice blade. The design is so classy and tasteful.

That is a beautiful knife. Where did you get it? I really like it. Oh, the vikings used the swastika . It was a mathematical instrument back in the day.

i bought it straight from CR. I was looking at getting a small sebenza, but they said they were back ordered 1 month+ so while browsing around, lisa's may pick caught my eye, and i thought it would be a fantastic first CRK. I got the double thumblugs. I thought there would be a titanium ring on the lanyard, but i guessed wrong. Something i'll pick up later. Really looking forward to getting an Umnum next go around

That is one of the nicest monthly designs I've seen, guy-whose-screenname-I-can't-read! :D

I thought it was Chinese at first, but KOREAN! I WAS WAAAY OFF!

sweet knife as well.

korean that i am.

question for everyone. I was looking at the sticky of the crk knives, and a lot of the older photos are down, especially the older Lisa's picks. I tried Pm'ing one of the people who did most of the posting but he said that the pictures were on a hard drive that died. Does anyone have older pics of Lisa's picks, or just older pics in general?
