Hi all,

I'm having ongoing problems w/ Bank of America's online banking. I routinely get disconnected from the banking session even a couple minutes after I start. I have tried cleaning up my cache memory, and a variety of other things, and it doesn't change anything. I use several other online banking companies (credit cards, investments, 401(k), etc), without any problem.

I am looking for people who use BOA, and do online banking. I need to understand if the problem is on their side (i.e., problem also happens to others) or on my side.

Thanks,

Joss

It sounds like a server session time-out. Do you have minutes of inactivity? If so this may be were the problem lies. It is a security feature that is designed to disconnect you from the server in case you step away from the PC. No one can log in to your account. I use BNY Online and I routinely get timed out. Not a real problem but I think they should allow you to set your own time.

No, that's not it. Maybe it's due to the fact that I login at work behind a firewall, but it's not a problem w/ anyone else.

I pay most of my bills through BofA online banking (even send checks to knifemakers that way, since I'm too lazy to address an envelope and find a stamp). I've had virtually no problems and I'm always behind a firewall.

I use it, but haven't had any problems. I tend to have a lot of windows open in my browser, and they (BofA) always bump me off with their automatic timed out after 10 minutes of inactivity when I'm distracted by THIS place. Never been unintentionally bumped while active on the site, though...

I'm also behind a firewall, working for the gov't, so that's not a problem.

Good luck figuring it out.

DD
