Banned by Moderators?

Im guessing theyre posts previous to when they were banned. The banned message goes onto all their posts so... Thats the way it works on the stocks forum I post on anyways.

Is this for real? If so, why are these people still able to post?

Could you please explain what you mean? People that are banned can not post, so I am wondering why you think they can?

I'm thinking someone may have revised an old thread and he saw that a person had been banned, but didn't realize their posts remain, but they do not.

Then again...

This question, as well as the whole issue of "resurrected threads" could be completely avoided if new people would just look at the date of the post they're reading!

3G-you may need to throttle back on the caffiene, no need to shout.

With vBulletin changes in user status are retroactive, so if you get banned or upgrade your membership your new status appears in all your posts. The same applies when you change your avatar or sig, and all your posts show your current post count.

There is a sticky thread in Bladeforums Service & Support with a log of who's walked the plank this month. At the end of the month the thread is unstuck but not deleted.

Thanks for the info. I was confused by the fact that the old posts are not removed. :)
