My son who is 28 was banned with no reason given. I assume it is because he has dyslexia and his post can be mistaken for a younger person because of the spelling. I gave him the link to Spellcheck.net and his spelling is much better. He really likes knives and would like to participate or at least be able to read the post. How can he correct whatever the problem is and be removed from the banned list? Thanks

redhawk44p,

When did he register? If it has been in the past two weeks, then the software has allowed him to sign up but has failed to send him a confirmation email.

BF is experiencing email problems at the moment, so no new members can join until it's fixed.

When he tries to go to BladeForums he cannot even enter to read the post. I assumed his IP address was blocked? I just want to fix it so he can at least read the post.
He has just got interested in knives and BladeForums is a must for a new KnifeKnut.

The system isn't showing a sk1ppe77.

yes it is.

sk1ppe77 is not banned. He joined Oct. 9 and is stuck in the "users awaiting email confirmation" category.

We are having some technical difficulties. At the moment the forum is not sending email. When a new user joins he has to respond to a confirming email the forum sends before he can post. It's Catch 22.... In the meantime he can read some forums but not others and can't post anywhere. All I can tell you is Spark is working on it.

When we get this fixed and he's able to post we certainly won't ban him for being dyslexic. We don't mind that; we'll figure out what he's trying to say.
