Actually they were two different fluffies. I had a few snares out in a different location a few weeks ago, but I got little activity and removed them. I only put out when I have consecutive days off in a row and can check daily. I may put some out during the xmas holidays. And actually that may be a cool idea. Cook a rabbit on site. I need to modify and experiment more with my bannock, but it was ok for a first try in the snow over a fire.

Great stuff buddy, I've made Bannock before but can you believe I've never done it on a stick........gonna have to get that sorted !

Thanks, that was my first time for cooking on a stick also. That day was quiet and over cast, quite peaceful actually. The dull day was likely why some rabbits were out. Your beach driftwood shelter post reminded me of a documentary that I watched regarding northern Scottish Cromagnon rock sites.

Looks like a nice trip. I really miss winter camping. Im itching to get out, but i need to drive 5-6 hours north for the really good terrain and winter weather and i just dont have the time right now. Just have to live vicariously through your posts!

I find it to be quite peaceful out as things slow down in the colder weather. I don't have the stones to over night at this point, maybe if I was younger.
