Hiya!
Ever since an early '90's cutlery firm unleashed its Taiwan manufactured blades to the world, a new phase of cutlery history had taken place. That of a new center for the manufacture of economically made, tech-knives.
Why.. , even a strong advocate for Nipponese made Tanto's has joined the band wagon. And has gone so far as to have us believe that PRC Katanas are the way to the future. I say NOT!
I say no to Sino. Let's keep the finest manufactures of quality cutlery alive. The Japanese people have always been much more meticulous and quality conscious than their mainland neighbors. Besides, who would believe that a Sino sword could ever equal the Edge quality of that from The Land of the Rising Sun?
If monetary gain is the priority than it won't be to soon that we see a Sino "Cadillac" as the sun sets.
Its probably nothing but I do hope that Sog Knives would remain true to the Way of the Samurai!
