well aware of the tendency knives have to take bites out of their owners. Now every new peice to the collection gets "baptized". Now don't think me weird here, but its kind of a superstition that if I blood the thing now, there's less chance of a future bite. Any of you guys do it. I just wanna feel normal.

SS, This is just too weird. Do you "baptize" yourself or others? Either way it is not appropriate here. Accidental cutting is one thing. We are not about blood.
