If I am mailing a letter that requires 88 cents in postage, does it make any significant difference with respect to time of delivery and accuracy of delivery (to the correct zip code) if I use:

1) a single $ 0.88 stamp with a bar code, provided by the postal worker
2) two $ 0.44 stamps
3) single $ 0.88 stamp generated at the self-service kiosk

Thank you, and forgive my ignorance on the subject. :)

So long as the proper postage is there, it really shouldn't make a difference. Mind you, my experience is with the Canadian system, but I don't see how that part would be different.

Well, barcoded items can be sent through the mechanized sorters at the postal centers, but I do not think that they really speed up delivery.
