I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Bar Creek brand name. Where the company is based out of, how old it is, anything you know, and can you direct me to somewhenre on the internet or other information source that can give me more information?

Any help you can provide would be great.

Could you possibly mean "Buck" Creek? Or "Cripple" Creek?
I can't find reference to "Bar" Creek anywhere in my sources. Sorry. Maybe someone else will find that name. Perhaps it is a "Custom" knife marking?

i have actually found on ebay 3 other models made be this "Bar" Creek company. and I know that they were manufactured in china because it says it on the backside of the blade. But given the name I can assume that they are an american company and with the lack of resources out of business at this point.

OK then,
Most of my current resources don't list knives from China, for various reasons. Maybe that will have to change...or maybe not.
Possibly those were a brand imported by Frost, Taylor Cutlery, or United?....but this is just a guess on my part.
Wish I could help with something solid.... :(

I have a vague recollection of a "Bear Creek" brand...but honestly can't remember anything about it.

There have been many companies over hte years that have had knives made in Japan, China, India, Pakistan, Taiwan, etc. etc. etc.

Parker and frost have been responsible for probably the majority of these, but there have been a few other companies out there also. Some in germany, italy, Spain, etc. I believe one may have been from England? Cant remember the name right now?

I have one, my first knife ever I got when I was 7 was a Bar Creek blade, I think it's like what many on here have said, possibly an American brand made in Communist China that is no longer in existence. My knife is decent quality and has served me well over the years, maybe they were one of those small almost no name brands that wanted to make decent quality knives for cheap and couldn't keep up with competition. IDK??
