Thank you PaulDiStefano and i4Marc . It seems that cleaning the titanium in hot water and dishwashing liquid and then keeping the part close to the cathode, yields better results for me.

Guys (gals as well), I’d be interested in your feedback if any... I made this sleeve/‘holster’ for this knife. It is v simple but it dangles and the knife will slip in a little further with time, subtly changing the dangle more towards not slipping out. It is a friction fit and the tether can be as long as you like, from a ring/clip to a cord.
