Unfortunately, my time in Barbados was short. I arrived off the plane from Jamaica in the evening on Sunday night and had a day long meeting on Monday. I managed to finish the meeting by 4:00 pm and was dropped off at my hotel. Not much to do, but take a walk around and eat a nice meal. The beaches of Barbados are very beautiful. I wish I had more time to explore the Island and to get into the interior a bit more. Perhaps, next time. I'm scheduled to come back later next year.

This morning it is pouring rain as only the tropics can do. Unfortunately that has kept me inside the hotel and I'm just about to pack for my trip home.

Here are a few pictures of my 3 hours of roaming the beautiful Island of Barbados.

At one point in my career, I used to have the entire Eastern Caribbean as my area of operation. It was really tough to work all day in a room and have just the tail end of the day to stand outside and look around. I feel your pain, man.

So what's the deal with the Sens "official HQ"? That's hilarious. I guess that's where they lockup Jaarko Ruutu in the off season :D

Some great pics once again Ken, I love those where the sun is just starting to set....real postcard material !!!!!

Love it, the last few in particular. Great colors on that last one Ken

Hmmm...reminds me of home...I miss sandy beaches.

Been there. First vacation with my new wife (roughly 25 years ago). An absolutely beautiful place with amazing people. Your picts brought back some really nice memories. Thanks.

the official caribbean hq of the senators is a bar thats owned by (i think) the team manager or team owner.. dont know the details, but the beer is always cold, the pizza is great, and its never not the right atmosphere. we sure did get some nice rain today, but at least u had a nice afternoon down south yesterday (if u had got the beaches on sunday, chances are you'd be sharing some very nice bikini photos)

its too bad that a lot of people that visit the island dont get to see any of the east or north coast, its a total opposite.. wild terrain, not as populated.

Seth, I'll be back in Barbados early next year for some more collaboration work with UWI - Cave Hill. Maybe if you are up for it and the timing is right we can arrange a meet up for a day. It would be awesome to rent a car with a local and really get to know the gems that are there!

Beautiful pics.
The Senators need a Caribbean headquarters. They would have to be better on the beach than they are on the ice.
