I have seen reviews of these from 5-6 years ago. Some bad, some decent. Has anyone tried one lately?

I got one a year ago and it Is a great size and weight but honestly i would buy something else the metal is soft and they basically don't sharpen it so you will have some time in a useable axe. Just my experience. Council would get my money if I had to do it over

Council doesn't make a double bit in cruiser weight. I have a boys axe from them. Even it needed some edge work

I've been looking at those Barcos axes, too. I so want them to be good. I think they're in Pennsylvania so they ought to have access to great local steel. I wonder if they've got their heat treat fixed.

That's a pity.
