Bare blades?

I have a few ideas for a migration period sword, have access to mills and such to make the pommel/guard etc from the piles of scrap titanium we have laying around at work BUT do not have access to blade steels and I can't set a forge/oven up at my current house due to zoning so was wanting to see if anyone knows of a supplier of bare blades. Mono-steel is fine but must be heat treated and not complete rubbish (will be used for period reenactment).

Any recommendations will help. Thanks.

It might be as easy to buy an existing sword and change out the hardware on it.

You can get blade steel from SB or Aldo, and have it professionally heat treated by Peters or Tru Grit. Stock removal requires no forge or heat treat oven.

I'll possibly look into this as I can 3D mill the components of the blade (fuller and such)...just seems like there could be a market for DIY sword blades. Is Atrim still doing bare blades or are they outties?

Just go to albion and look at their bare blades, you'll have to clean it up a bit and sharpen it but they are a solid value.

Or talk to Albion or Arms and Armor or any of a number of other semi-production or custom shops. Any or all of them would undoubtedly be more than happy to sell you a blade.
