Bare blades

I hope this isn't a stupid question- AFAIK Infi is not a stainless steel, but every bare blade I've ever seen looked clean and shiny (or scratched and shiny for users)- doesn't Infi get a patina? Or does everybody keep them clean and oiled?

I'd say drop by the BUSSE forum and ask the "hogs" or boars or whatever they go by

No it doesn't patina. In general most steels which are air hardening don't patina because there is enough chromium dissolved to prevent its formation.
