Yet another B.K.L.O

The E.T.K

(Epperson Tanto Kukri)

willie1.jpg

New from Szabo Inc. (yes, another new thing). Exclusive for Szabo Inc., the first MSGT Willie Epperson design, the ETK (Epperson Tanto Kukri).

This knife is truly cool, it packs impressive power for straight snap cuts, angled and straight thrusts, chopping characteristics of a kukri and obvious hooking capabilities. Bottom line, this knife has the best of both worlds. Handmade in the USA by Robert Newton. It is the perfect package for military, camping, survival, and law enforcement.

Dimensions:
Overall length: 12"
Blade length: 6 1/2"
Weight: 14 oz.

Price: $350.00

For this price, I'll take a Berk special or a six-pac of those things Bura made outta the old files.

Dang, $350 for a 12" KLO? If I'm going to spend $350 on a single blade, it's either going to be a katana or the HI Multitool.

For me, the good point of this knife is its large handle for a 12 incher. HI's "small" size khukuri has proportionally smaller handle than a large size, sometimes it feels too small for my hands...
Although HI takes custom orders, I haven't succeeded in making a longer handle version.

Epperson Tanto Kukri would penetrate very well with its second point. However, I'm afraid that the second point will wear (get round) too fast in wood chopping.

Brendan probably wants one to go with his "tracker". Another $350 to save up instead of spent on khuks:p

Looks like it has a single bevel "chisel" edge. Don't really like those type of edges on knifes myself. Easier to sharpen I guess. Laci Szabo tends to make/style knifes primarily for defense. Another one flatters the great design of the Khukuri!:D :D

Probably a good weapon, but for anything else I will take the real deal. I would take the real thing for a weapon too if given the choice.
