Check out your nearest Sports Authority this week. They have select knives (ending in $xx.97) that are 25% off, then 50% off that. Today I got an awesome Benchmade 690 for $40.88 tax included (<applause, applause> "thank you, thank you"). The store in in White Plains, NY has two BM 710S in 154-CM: $40.88; one BM 940: $52.28; a few CS Pendleton Hunters for $20.10. A few other blades including some older Spydies, Kershaws, & SOG that are included in the sale. Different stores have different selections BTW (the store in Yonkers, NY has ess-aych-eye-tee.
 
I don't have a retail outlet in my area. Does anyone know if the same sale is going on at Gart Brothers, Big 5 or Oshman's? (all owned by Sports Authority)
 
The Sports Authority in Danbury, CT has no knives on clearance. They don't carry Benchmade or Spyderco anymore either. Gerber, CRKT, Buck and Remington mostly. None on sale.

Their South Blvd store in Charlotte has Leatherman Juice C2 for $29.97. Also saw a Spyderco Dragonfly FRN SE on sale. Not much of a selection otherwise.
 
The Paramus, NJ store had an anemic selection, at regular price. The salesman said only stores that are being remodeled are having the sale.
