Hi,
I recently chanced a buy on a knife which sounded good to me. The wood handled folder was made with a aus-8 blade and was advertised at "4 inches (actually 3.5",) all for under $10.
I received this knife:

The knife is Chinese and stamped on the tip with etching "china." It also has "aus-8 steel" etched on the tang. The knife is sharp but became VERY sharp after stropping. As you can see the knife is a copy of a popular design (this one a Brend). There are three other blade and handle designs available from this eBay seller.
These knives can be customed readily; e.g., filing, polishing, handle material, etc., and also represent a GREAT EDC opportunity. The sellers auction list can be found here:

(You might also check-out the Aladdin's lamps in brass. Very heavy, well made and polished lamp...a bargain in my estimation.)
