Searched but see no posts, DLT dropped Aurora Scandi in Magnacut, just got my first BRK in this to replace a stolen camp bushcraft knife. Excited to try it out!

I pre ordered one, got the email that it's on its way to DLT, haven't heard anything since...

Very excited as well, I don't own an aurora yet, looks like a very good all-arounder pattern.

I opened mine up after this post, there seems to be the tiniest of imperfections on the handle that irks me otherwise like the feel and weight. the dark mark by the orange inset. its not so much the look but i can feel it.

Damn. That's a shame.

I had the opportunity to speak with "Rob" over there, a few months back. Apparently, like a lot of other businesses, they're going through the hire/train/lose & rinse/repeat thing. That's gotta' be hard at any business, but especially at a manufacturing business.

The good thing is, I know (*from experience) that they'll take care of you. The bad thing? You may not see your knife for awhile.

Yeah, im going to send this back, decided to order a less gucci version rather than wait to repair a brand new product.

For others looking at BRK i had concerns about the insets. Below is a pic of the edge and differences in placment.

Ive looked though all of the ones with mosaic pins and see quite a bit of inconsistency, so just going with a desert ironwood burl, no liners, silver pins for hopefully fewer potential issues.

Wow that's B grade shop work.

Yeah keep it simple, save some $, and less risk of issues.
