Been looking at this knofe, thoughts? How is bark river lately? Quality control vise and warranty vise? Should I buy it or are there other better options? Use would be hard use forest bushcraft/survival blade! Thanks guys!
 
I might get bashed for saying this, but you will be better off to research the knife on other forums. Bark River has a bad reputation with many on this site, and that stems from issues with the owner, the incorrect labeling of steel, bad heat treats, you name it. There are also a lot of people on this forum that have no issue with their knives and it becomes an argument thread instead of anything constructive. The funny thing is, if you look at the threads where people post their knife pics, especially the fixed blade ones, there are a ton of Barkies shown.
 
Best to use the "Search" function at the upper right corner of this page. Type in Bark River and you will get probably more information than you can digest, both bad and good.
 
Personally, I'd monitor the Carothers "Knives for Sale" section for a while and see if something comes up in your price range. (They are that good.)

There are other fine choices as well, but that would be my first stop.
