Hi, does anyone know where I can find a Bark River Bravo 1 with the big horn sheep handle? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks.

Mr. kbaug,

Why don't you just order one.

I am kind of sure that they make more every other month.

It is a very popular model.

I believe that one of the largest dealers is a company called, Knives Ship Free.

They seem to be able to get people what they want in Bark Rivers and other brands.

If all of their dealers have run out of them, I have heard that you can call the dealer that you wanted to order it from and they will put in an order for you through Bark River when they make their next batch.

Thanks for your help. It looks like I will have to order one because I searched through all of the listed dealers and did not see it listed.

Two basic methods;

1. call or e-mail KSF or DLT and ask them to include a knife like you want in the next run form Bark River. This may take quite a while depending on the production schedule. You can go over to knifeforum and send Mike Stewart a personal message asking when the next production run will be. He is a real nice and helpful guy.

2. Buy the cheapest Bravo-1 you can find and send it to Mike at Bark River for a rehandle job. If it is used he can give it the "spa treatment" with a blade polish and resharpening. This will cost you around 70.00 in addition to the price of the Bravo-1. The advantage here is immediate gratification compared to waiting on a production run and depending on the deal you can get on a new or used Bravo-1 it may end up being cheaper, but not by much.

I am facing the same problem. I want a natural canvas Micarta Aurora. No one to be found anywhere so far. I guess I am looking at a rehandle job after my bank account recovers from the Golok run.

A third way is to have the dealer check if there are any finished blades, and have the handle of your choice put on it. That's how I got my Canadian Special - Jeff McKnight asked Mike Stewart, who had some finished blades, and he put my handle on it. It didn't take very long.

The Bravo 1 is fast becoming my favorite blade.
