So my Bark River EDC arrived today. I was very excited to get this knife. I've been EDCing an Izula II for the past month and wanted something a littler "prettier."

As excited as I was, I am going to say that I am a bit disappointed with the knife out of the box. It was very dull. Butter knife dull. Sure I can fix that with a few passes on the stone, but for the price of this knife I expect to get a sharp knife. I'm gonna put an edge in it and see how it goes, but my first impressions are not favorable.

Sharpen it up and use it. You'd have to eventually sharpen it anyway. Lots of times the first thing I do is put a edge on my brand new knife the way I like it. I have several BRKs they are excellent, don't let the edge spoil your knife. 👍

Seems unusual to me. I have a Bravo 1 and Bravo Necker 2, and both of them came very sharp.

I spent some time on the strop and have it sharp now. This is the first knife I have ever purchased that wasn't sharp out of the box. I just found it very strange after all the reviews I've read.

If all you had to do was spend time on the strope, it wasn't dull it just had a bur or rolled edge.
