I'm looking for a nice fixed blade ..Kind of a "do all " knife .
One I can carry easily in the woods or Urban situations.

Really like the size of the Gunny .
Really like the blade profile of the Bravo.
I figured 3.5 - 4" on blade Gunny is perfect...Bravo a tad over.

I know lots of info on Bravo - seems all good.
anyone use Gunny for bush etc ? How would it hold up to heavy duty use. [baton etc.]
Both seem to come in A2 steel any good?
Thanks

A2 is good stuff. I have used the Gunny and Bravo-1 both boor bush craft. Both are very comfortable to work with. The only negative I would have to say about the Gunny as far as comfort and performance is that the ramp on the spine was VERY uncomfortable. Try to find one that is rambles or have it taken off.
The ramp wasn't too much of an issue on the Bravo-1.

Well, I dont have any of those, but have an F1 , which is similar to gunny, and is a great knife overall, maybe a bit to big for urban carry, but for the wilderness and ocasional batoning, is perfect as a small to medium blade.
for urban carry, the do it all knife for me would have to be the DPx HEST, a tad smaller than the F1, but not less capable...maybe even more

The Knives are not in any local store so it's hard to tell feel.
I look at the ramp closer ...is it biting your thumb? I do like a ramp .

I kind of narrowed the search down The Fallkniven F1 is probably the most popular .. Honestly eye appeal is a factor for me as well.
Ergos on the Bark rivers seems to be more comfortable.

The BRKT knives certainly have the good looks, I can't argue with that
There are also some custom handled F1, very nice knives, but somewhat more expensive than the BRKT

Here you can see the HEST with the Bravo 1 ....
and here, the regular F1 with the HEST

I keep mentioning the HEST because I really like the design,...anyway, if the classical old fashion look is what you're after, you can't go wrong with BRKT knives

I had the gunny for a bit. Nice enough knife and plenty tough.

Here's the Gunny in both ramp-less and ramp-on versions.

The Gunny and the Bravo-1 are both great knives,

...for me the Bravo's bigger handle fits better.

For EDC the smaller blade on the Gunny makes it legal where the Bravo-1 pushes the limit is some areas.

I have the Bravo 1 in A2, and it's a great knife. But for urban EDC, it's too large, for me anyway. I prefer the Custom Highland Special, in S35vn. It's .190" thick, more of a hunting knife I suppose. Even though the handle is much smaller, I can still get my whole hand on the handle.
I have an Eskabar, and it's a cool little knife, but the handle is very short.

The Bravo 1 handle is more comfortable for me than the Gunny (it's longer than the Gunny which I prefer). I used the Gunny only a little so far. Seems Ok, but that ramp is really in the way. I ground it off my Bravo 1 already, but it's even worse on the Gunny and has to go.

Comparable to the Gunny blade size would be the Fallkniven F1. I prefer the F1 over the Gunny personally.

I have a Gunny (with ramp) and love it. Of all my fixed blades, it seems to be the perfect size for my day to day outdoor needs. Plus the convexed A2 blade performs great. I find myself carrying it more than my other blades. I know you will be satisfied if you go with the Gunny.
