Hello,

I've been looking to pickup a traditional looking fixed blade from Bark River and am torn between Natural Canvas and Green Canvas micarta. The colors online kinda scare me, I'm just afraid that they may look way different in person. The green looks more like a brown to me in most pics. Also don't want the natural canvas if it's more yellow than tan.

Any thoughts or photos?

Thanks!
Josh

My North Star has green canvas, and it is kind of a brownish earthy green. It's a good color though, and goes well with the blade.

The Green Canvas Micarta does darken with age/use/exposure to a browner tone.

Natty canvas has a great look, and also darkens with age; but it is not yellow.

I have two green canvas micarta Bark Rivers and they definitely turn brown with age... unfortunately. I like the original green much better.

If you want a synthetic handle to stay the original color, get G-10. Personally not crazy about the brownish color GCM turns to, but the Natural Canvas color change is nice, IMO.

Thanks all! I'm leaning towards the Natural Canvas on either the Classic Light hunter or Gameskeeper. Looks super classy and old school, like something out of the early twentieth century. Anyone have any pics of a well used Barkie in NC?

So far I have found my customs with micarta handles clean up well with warm soapy water and a toothbrush. When my OD canvas micarta was looking nasty from field dressing, I scrubbed it up new. Piece of cake!
